inside door handle inoperable

I have a 1998 toyota camry. The inside door handle will not open the door. The outside handle works ok. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

That's pretty common on Toyotas. The inside handle is made of plastic and the arm that attaches to the lever behind the door is also plastic and often breaks off. You likely just need a new inside door handle. They are inexpensive and easy to change. The door panel doesn't even have to be removed to change it.
