Front end noise

1998 camry V-6 Left side front end has knocking or clunking noise when brakes are applied hard. Could this be a worn bushing. If so what bushing could cause this.

Check the brake caliper to make sure it is tight, check ball joints, and control arm bushings.

Let me know what you find.

Calipers are good. This car has no ball joints or control arms

Thanks for reply. When first looked at the lower control arm bushings and ball joints looked OK. Shopped replaced both struts and coil springs under warranty. Noise was still evident. Now may replace control arm, noticing a little more play than the other side. Bushing looks perfect.
