I have just bought an EJ15 engine for my Subaru.

I have just bought an EJ15 engine for my subaru legacy and
its has no power in terms of when u engage gear 1 or 2 or 3
the movement is slow and
the morning without warming the engine it shuts down when u want to move,
also the petrol smell from it exost pipe is to much?

I wanted an engine with power and the one I could get from the deals was the ej15, so it was better than the previous one, the engine is used exported (used japan)

Always leery about used engines.

Need to verify timing belt, compression as a start

it may be a bad motor.
