1998 Subaru Legacy Changed Head Gaskets And Started Had Loud Knocking Noise

changed the head gaskets & but when i started it had a loud knocking noise it didnt have before the change.I checked the oil it is good.What could this noise be.

Is the engine running normally since the work (other than the noise?) Does it have a misfire?
