My 98 Subaru legacy wagon with a 2.5L engine will not start. The battery shows 12. volts. The flashers and parking light come on, but nothing else happens when I turn the key - no dash lights, head lights, wipers, radio, etc. Checked the fuses under the dash and in the engine compartment - they are all good. Does anyone know whats going on?

Are your battery cables making a good connection or are they corroded? Can you get accessories to function with the key in the on position? Check the connections at your starter as well. They could be loose or corroded. There are engine grounds, find them and make sure they are clean and good to go as well.
