O2 sensor slow response repair

Can my OBDII code P0133 (pending) (O2 sensor CKT slow response) be dealt with by replacing the O2 sensor and is the Sensor 1 the upstream or downstream? Thanks.

Most of the time it's a bad o2 sensor i would replace the sensor.It's the sensor in the exhaust manifold.

It's called the upstream or front o2 sensor.
