MY Saturn is getting hot quick but if I turn my heat on full blast it seems to help what's wrong with it

A common cause is corroded cooling fins on the radiator. That prevents it from giving up its heat to the air. The heater core in the dash acts like a small radiator, and that is a dandy observation that running the heater helps. Of course you have to verify the radiator fan is working first.
