my altenator is putting out 14-15 volts and have a new battery but battery light comes on at start and stays on till car is hot

Have the alternator load tested and double check wiring/connections

I posted the trouble shooting for the battery light staying on i also posted a wire diagram for the charging system for you to follow along.You will need a multimeter see what the voltage at the battery is at idle with the battery light on.Let me know what the voltage is.
