1998 Pontiac Transport Vehicle Siluette Van Overheating Engine Shutting Down

The vehicle is a 1998 Pontiac Siluette Van. Overheating and engine is shutting down. There is no evidence of coolant leaks in the engine compartment, under carriage. There is air bubbles coming out from the hose that is connected to the reservoir. I suspect the thermostat being at fault, looks like there is no coolant circulation between the radiator, the engine ane the heater inside the van. All hoses, belts and water pump are ok. Any suggestions?

Check thermostat and flush cooling system while you have the t-stat out.

Thanks. Do you have any pictures of there is the t-stat located on this vehicle? Is a 3.4 V6 FWD.

you need to bleed the system of any air bubbles.there should be two bleeding screws at the ends of the heating hoses.try that let me know how it went.had this problem and just needed to let the air bubbles out
