i have a 98 sunfire and the key gets stuck in the ignition on a hot day but not on the cold day. i can get the key out when its in the acc. position when it does it. and i can get the key all they way out when i have my foot on the brake shift into a gear and then but it back in park. so do i need to replace the ignition switch or the ignition lock cylinder or what?

Inspect and test the brake switch and the shiftlock solenoid if okay-were right back to the switch and lock-if the problem is there might as well replace both

The brake switch is at the brake support bracket just follow the brake pedal arm it'll take you there. The shiftlock solenoid is behind dash on steering column-Sorry no pic available
