where does the wire on the back side of the alternator connect to?

Which wire also on the alternator or coming out of the alternator.

its the single wire that comes off the back of the alternator that is leaving the alternator.

i need to know where it is supposed to connect to on the opposite end of the alternator because it broke off and i cant seem to find from where.
