What would cause a water pump to fail shortly after it was replaced?

I've told that the accessory drive belt could have been adjusted to tight or that the engine-driven cooling fan could be out-of-balance. which one is right/

COULD BE EITHER

IS SOMETHING OBVIOUS WRONG W/ THE FAN?....LIKE A CHIPPED OFF OR BROKEN BLADE?

THE HUMAN FACTOR COULD BE BELT OVER TENSIONED....NOT KNOWING YOU VEHICLE WELL...DOES IT HAVE A SPRING TENSIONER OR IS IT MANUALLY TENSIONED AND LOCKED DOWN?.......WAS IT DONE CORRECTLY?

I'M GONNA THROW FACTOR 3 IN!

SOMETIMES YOU JUST GET A BAD PART--NEW OR REBUILT--MAY HAVE BEEN ONE OF THEM DAYS AT THE FACTORY...OR JIMBOB WAS TEXTING, INSTEAD OF PAYING ATTENTION

I BUY MY PARTS IF POSSIBLE W/ A LIFETIME WARRANTY---ALL I'M OUT OF, AT ANY TIME, IS MY LABOR......IF FAILS NOW OR IN 10 YEARS

ADVANCE AUTO AND AUTOZONE ARE MY FAVORITES FOR THIS KINDA WARRANTY...THUS FAR NO PROBLEMS, EVEN IF THE PART WAS JUST SLAP WORN OUT.....AT THE PRESENT TIME....I AM STILL ALIVE!
