It sounds like there could be a problem with a bad ground, broken wire between the door and door frame, or the body control module. If the security system has the engine shut down, you need to have a dealer scan the computer to identify where the problem is coming from. They have the proper equipment to test this system; whereas others usually do not have what is needed.
