I turned the car on and noticed the check engine light was on. It also had a really rough idle. I thought it might be because of cold temperatures so I let it warm up for about 5 minutes. When I got in the light was still on. When I started backing up and driving forward about 5 feet the light started flashing. And even as Im trying to drive, the car is still shaking.

First thing you need to do is take it to a auto parts store and have it scanned for codes.Write the codes down and let me know exact code numbers. Also what size engine do you have.
