1998 Olds Intrigue - The battery was changed today and now the RPM gauge does not work and the fuel guage needle is stuck behind the peg at the top of the guage (hence it is not working either now). The electronic odometer is working and the speedometer is working.

Try disconnecting the battery again and connecting. If that does not bring back the tach, you may have to replace the gauge unit.

The needle on the fuel sender will have to be reset manually by removing the cover and carefully moving it.

Had this happen many times. It comes from voltage surges.
