Shaking during acceleration

I have a 98 olds 88 and when I accelerate from roughly 40mph - 60mph it is a shaking sensation. After I reach 60mph it is smooth sailing. Can you advise?

Hello,

This could be due to an out of balance tire.
Many times, balance issues with a tire can show up at a certain speed.
This can also be due to a worn tire.
So, checking the tire balance and inspecting it for unusual wear might be a good idea.
