I recently purchased this truck and runs great yesterday I went to lunch and it starred and ran fine I went back to work and 4 hours later I went to leave and it cranks bit won't start don't know when it was last tuned up and I could smell gas

If it cranks good but won't start, Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. Are there any applicable trouble codes? To check for codes, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader. It's a place to start, if you work on your own vehicles.

I've had inactive codes, point me in the right direction. If you have the spider fuel system, I'd want to check correct fuel pressure. That fuel system is noted for problems. Also, check for injector pulse. Plus, I need to know if you can communicate with computer?
