Whats wrong with 98 olds 88?

My car has been having trouble starting. All the lights will come on but nothing else happens. No noise not anything. We have put new spark plug wires and new spark plugs due to it shaking when on brake. We put a new battery in two days ago bc it died on me and started clicking really fast then some lights went out. After we put the battery in is started fine. Then it doesnt start sometimes and all lights are on. Im not understanding whats going on. The security light flashes but eventually goes off. The check engine light has been flashing since we took it to autozone, they said it was 6th cylinder so we did the spark plugs and wires. Plz help. Confuzed!

When it wont start hold the key in start poss. Then tap on the starter with a hammer. Does it start?

Idk. I have been taking key out of ignition and put it back it really gently and most of the time it works but. Not all the time

Cadieman the security light is flashing meaning the starter was disabled by the anti theft system.

Codes in the computer lets start with you getting the computer scanned for codes. Then let me know what the exact code numbers are not code descriptions. Sounds like the ignition cylinder or key is bad though.

Your welcome its pretty common for the ignition cylinders to cause no startsnon those cars.
