no start, but the lights work?

My 98 olds 88 hasnt been starting often. When u turn it over, all the lights and everything come on but it doesnt start. No noise. We had to put new spark plug wires due to it shaking when on brakes. Still does that even though its new we replaced the bat Have told you everything u need to know. Oh check engine light has been flashing since spark plugs and wires changed and security light has been now flashing but goes of in time.
