Hello,

Our beloved Nissan Vanettes engine head gasket began to leak and must be replaced. We have already removed the cylinder head, but the cam shafts bolts on the other side of the cover are at the same time the engine covers bolts. How do we removed the engine cover so that we would not but too much tension to the camshaft? We would also like to know, what are the tightening torque of the engine cover bolts?

Thank you already so much for you answer.

When loosening the cylinder head bolts, loosen the cam carrier bolts as well. The cam has to be removed/install simultaneously. Sorry I do not have the information for the tightening torque.
