The rear tail lights on my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder will not go off.

Brake light switch is bad. It is on the brake pedal. Un hook it and see if the lights go out.

Where on the pedal. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, BUT I don't see anything attached to the pedal. Thanks

It is up at the top of the pedal.

Replace the switch. You have no brake lights at this time.
