1998 Mitsubishi Mirage Put New Front Shocks Since Noticed That Steering Goten

i put my mirage in for new front shocks and since then i have noticed that the steering has goten lighter and i now have a suspention nock when i hit a bump or go up the driveway also when you move the steering wheel there is a slight knock moving it back and forward could it be the lower control arm balljoints ?
