1998 Mitsubishi Lancer transmission

i have no drive,park or reverse light on the dash board and the car is stuck in 3 gear can hardly go up and hill ......................what can cause that problem?

have a trans guy check this sounds like the trans is in limp mode so could be a switch or a rebuild may be needed.

no there are many sensors and solenoids in a trans along with the wiring could be the problem.

change the Neutral safety switch or others call it inhibitor switch, it is located on top of the trans and it is where the end of your shifter cable is connected and then check the fuse that correspond to this.
