98 mitsubishi eclipse gsx awd turbo transmission problem

i have a 98 mitsubishi eclipse gsx awd turbo auto, i just changed the transmission valve body and now the o/d wont work and the car wont go into 4th gear! I took it on rt78 and after about 40 mins the a/t temp light turned on!

What is the reason for changing the valve body?

You could have a faulty replacement valve body.

Did you try to retrieve for trouble codes?

i hit a nasty pothole and cracked the pan and the body so i replaced them both, i did not try to retrieve the trouble codes

Check for trouble codes and proceed from there. You might need to get another valve body to test if symptoms goes away or changes.
