1998 Mercury Sable P0401 Code

I installed a new DPFE sensor and EGR pressure feedback hoses. The code seems to have cleared. How long or how far do I have to drive before I take the car for a smog test. No one seems to know the exact parameters before the code(s) are cleared from the computer's memory.

Because there are so many variables when setting monitors try driving it 50 miles and have someone check3ck and see how many monitors reset.
