No, there is no reset program for a radio.

the face plat does not light up, so I cannot adjust volume/fade/radio station,only 2 speakers work. maybe a plug not in all the way?

You can check the plugs. I will be honest, they had problems with the face plate lights not working after some time. You may have gotten a bad radio,. Is there a warranty with it?
