hi, i have a 1998 mazda protoge with approximatley 224000. this past week the car was running fine until yesterday. i warmed up the car and left my driveway and then it felt like it went into neutral i saw the rpm go up but the car didnt go forward anymore. i havent had any problems with this car until this happened

Check the transmission fluid condition and level.
Check for trouble codes.
