Hi I have a 1998 Mazda Protege 5 speed, I was driving yesterday and I noticed a loud sound coming from my engine so I pulled over before I could pull over the car like stalled itself battery still on but car started to lock the steering wheel locked and wont turn on?

it sounds like you had had an engine failure. a shop can determine the failure and give you a bid.

did you check the oil??

yes the second it happend i check it was pretty low so i filled oil in it today and it still wont start

ok, get it to a shop and have it evaluated

i just checked and the thingthat connects to my battery looks like it got melted through could that be the problem
