noise over 30mph

1998 Mazda 626 with noise in front at around 30 mph. Does not appear to be dragging while coasting. New axle installed. grinding noise sounds like its coming more from middle of car as opposed to wheel

Check the backing plates behind the rotors to make sure they are not rusted, bent... and rubbing a rotor. Also, is there anyway to change the noise. For example, does it change when you make turns or use the brakes.
