my lincoln makes a rattling and knocking noise when i accelarate

doesn't do it as soon as i press on the gas have to drive a bit before it starts doing it

can you tell if it is engine related or body/suspension?

mhpautos, I have the same noise, but it's coming from suspension, not the engine.
I have a 1995 signature series
