what would cause it to kick out of gear while driving down the road and then kick back in and out

It just did it the other day and hasn't stopped no lights are on tranny isn't slipping I was told it was the transfer case or the shifter motor probley what does it sound like to you?

if it kicks out of gear, it is a trans issue. i would have a tran shop road test it to verify and then you can get a bid for repair.
