Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Remove air cleaner outlet tube.

Remove the RH spark plug cover.
Remove the bolts from the RH spark plug cover.
Remove the spark plug cover.

Pull the ignition coil from the spark plugs.

Remove the ignition coil.
1Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coil.
2Remove the ignition coil from the spark plugs.

Remove the LH ignition coil cover.
Remove the bolts from the LH ignition coil cover.
Remove the ignition coil
Pull the ignition coil from the spark plugs.
Remove the ignition coil.
1Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coil.
2Remove the ignition coil from the spark plugs.

Inspect ignition coil for cracks, carbon tracking and dirt.
