1998 Lexus Gs 300 Cd Changer Glove Box Insert Cassette Cd S Display On Radio

My cd changer is in the glove box. When I insert the cassette with the cd's, the display on the radio on the dashboard does not recognize that there is a cd loaded, and nothing happens when you push play, fast forward, or any of the other cd commands. The radio works with no problem, and the cd cassette will eject with no problem, it just won't play. How do I remove the cd changer and put in a new one?

access the cd from the bottom. remove the lower valance screws to access the mounts for the system.

that is the only info i can find in our repair system
