I Have a starting system problem. I believe it to be electrical in nature.
I turn the ignition to the third or start position.
Nothing happens for 1 second or so, then the starter turns over 1 or 2 times and then stops. This sequence is repeated until I get tired or the engine starts.
That is, nothing for a short time then the starter cranks for 1 or 2 turns and then stops and then cranks again.
With an eye to maintenance I replaced the battery and the starter. This problem started after I replaced the battery and before i replaced the starter.

it may be a bad ignition switch or a loose connection. make sure battery connections are tight and clean it may have a dirty ground as well.
