You will need a land Rover friendly scanner, best to use a Rover factory scanner as a lot of generic scanners do not read land Rover codes very well, have you repaired what ever set the code in the first place, as if not the code will re set again.

Yes it's fixed it was stuck in the deep snow running. Plowed road. Light was on, below 0 degree weather, tail pipe clear. Just need to know if you have to have a scanner to reset or if you can reset it without it.

These as far as I am aware do need a scanner to do a complete code clear, a code clear is some what more easier to do with a generic scanner than trying to retrieve these codes, so any reasonable quality scanner should be able to do this task.
