cuting out an backfires

i have a 1998 jeep wrangler with the 4.0,i have installed a couple years ago k&n an a throttle spacer an exhaust.now to my question when im lugging it slightly or run it up to 3000 thousand rpms it backfires or cuts out on me it just started that this year!!! i have replaced the timing gear an chain pluggs an wires an cap an rottor an o2 sencer !! an it stills does it im at a lost ?? thanks kevin

Is the Check Engine Light indicating and have you tried to retrieve for trouble codes?

Do you mean it cuts out even at 3000 rpm?

no i havnt tried to retrive any codes! it only cuts out at 3000 rpm an backfires when at a low rpm an i stomp on it!!
