There is a noise emanating from the front left tire of the car that is only made when the gas is applied and is consistent when doing so. I was wondering what this noise is and how much a repair would cost if possible. I do not currently own the car. I am trying to buy it and want to make sure I know what to expect.

The most common cause of a noise complaint is a noisy front wheel bearing. They make a buzzing noise like an airplane engine. We normally don't get involved with costs here because there's too many variables, but if this is the common bolt-on assembly, they cost a lot more than Chrysler's older and inexpensive pressed-in bearings, but they take less time to replace. Not including diagnostic time, they take about an hour to replace.
