hello, I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee that is having some electrical problems. the passenger door is close but the on-board display states that the door is ajar causing the light to stay on. Am not sure if that is draining my battery,

Take a peek at the rear of the door opening to see if you have a black plastic switch held on with one screw. If you do, push each one in at each door to see if one makes the light go off. (Keep all other doors closed except the one you're checking). If that's what you find, I have a simple reliable fix.
