Headlights and dash lights filcker

98 jeep gc 5.9liter - When light switch is on at night I have replaced the headlight switch. Headlight an dashlights filcker when in use driving at night

Check for bad body grounds. Also, you may want to have the voltage regulator tested (part of the alternator). If it is going bad, you can sometimes see flickering in the lights. Also check the headlight switch.

I was told by parts store that the voltage regulator is not part of the alternater it is within the [pcm] power train control module an must take it to a dealer also the lights do not filcker when engine is off only when its running please help!

If that is the case, the PCM will need replaced. Have them check to make sure that is the problem. I thought they stopped doing that in the early 90's.
