i have a 1998 jeep cherokee that is giving me a bunch of codes. they are p0700, p1698, p0758, p0756, p0715. the problem i have is that the jeep goes right into high gear when i put it in drive and wont downshift ever. i am able to manually shift and it works just fine. i know what the codes mean but it points to 3 different things. is the tcm bad? is it the b shift solenoid? or is it the input speed sensor? or is one of those causing the other problems?

i would not guess on this one. if you can shift it manually, it may be a valve body issue. you need a trans shop to verify as the codes never identify bad parts, just failed systems.
