The turn signals when used are blowing out the fuse on my 1988 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Put in a new fuse and when I use the turn signals to turn they go out every time

Does the fuse only blow when you turn the switch to a certian side like left or right?Or will it do it for ethier side?

The turn signal switch was unhooked and it still blow the fuse, it does it on both sides, Could the flasher have a short in it some place

Have you checked and made sure all the turn signal blubs are good and theres no water etc shorting them out?

Yes, checked all that and replaced all the bulbs.
