After changing my transmission in my vehicle listed above (Sport) it only works in reverse and is stuck in 4wd. It won't go faster than 15 MPH. How can I fix these issues?

Hi,

Wow, that isn't good. When you installed the transmission and transfer case, was the linkage to the transfer case installed correctly? When you shift through the gears, does the gear indicator show the correct gear, and does it shift smoothly?

I attached the adjustment procedures below for both the transmission and transfer case. Take a look through them and confirm they are properly adjusted.

Also, this is based on the original Cherokee and not the Grand Cherokee. If that is incorrect, let me know.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
