I recently had my starter continue to run even after I turned the thing off?

Is my problem melted wires? If so where would they most likely be melted at? The only way I could stop it was by pulling the relay or disconnecting the battery. I already replaced the whole starter and solenoid. That didnt fix it. So then I replaced the ignition switch and it didnt fix it either. Is my problem melted wires? If so where would they most likely be melted at?

It sounds like the starter is not disengaging because the starter motor bendix has gone bad or, the battery is going bad and not supplying the amperage necessary to turn the engine fast enough to start?

Good call on the starter, I knew it wasn't the battery because it was brand new, anyway I replaced the starter and now everything works great!
