Isuzu 3.1 4JG2. I repair this engine but when I try to time the crank, cam and pump pulley according to the diagram, the injection goes wrong with explosions and white smoke. Is there any other procedure that I should follow to time it?

After installation, ensure the timing marks are all lined up after turning the crankshaft a few turns.

Did you check the fuel pump injection timing? Are the valve clearances correct?
