When I First Start The Engine in the morning there is no oil pressure, I must start it and stop it several times before the pressure gauge shows pressure.
I can run the engine all day and it is ok, I can leave it all day and it is ok but after leaving it overnight I have the same problem the next day.
I have just renewed the turbo which I think had gone due to this problem.
Has anyone got any ideas?

THAT'S ONE BAD THING ABOUT ELECTRIC GAUGES

POSSIBILITIES

BAD SENDING UNIT

BAD GAUGE

WIRING ISSUE

WORST CASE- WORN ENGINE

I LIKE TO KNOW 'ZACKLY WHAT THE PRESSURE IS (EASES MY MIND!)

MECHANICAL GAUGES ARE FAR MORE ACCURATE THAN ELECTRIC ONES

YOU CAN INSTALL A TEMPORARY MECHANICAL GAUGE (LIKE ONE TO MOUNT UNDER THE DASH, YOU MIGHT EVEN USE IT ON SOMETHING ELSE LATER)

INSTALL IT WHERE YOUR SENDING UNIT SCREWS IN. YOU CAN RUN THE LINE OUT OF THE HOOD AND IN THRU A WINDOW, SO YOU CAN WATCH IT FOR LIKE A FULL DAY OF DRIVING.

I HAVE MECHANICAL OIL GAUGES PERMANENTLY INSTALLED IN BOTH OF MY JEEPS, I DOOOOOS LIKE GAUGES!

MINE IS SORTA THE SAME THING, EXCEPT IT'S A PLUMBING TYPE GAUGE (SEE PIC BELOW)

THEN THERE ARE THOSE WHO JUST GOES AHEAD AND BUYS A SENDING UNIT, MOST OF THE TIME, IT IS THE DEFECTIVE ITEM IN THE SYSTEM. AND YOU SKIP THE "ZACKLY" PART I DISCUSSED

KEEP US POSTED ON WHAT YOU FIGGER OUT!
