i have a 98 accent, at 60 mph, the rmps are running at about 3500. the car seems as though its not shifting into overdrive. no OD OFF light comes on on the dash when the switch is engaged or anything. and all of the other gears shift through smoothly as they should. where do i start to solve the problem.

If the OD/Off light is not working, then you should start from there.

Ensure the wiring circuit and switch are working correctly. Without the indicator light, the OD solenoid might not be activated.

Try pressing the OD button and note if there is any difference even though the light is not indicating.
