My car is overheating. I have put water into the radiator and the other little plastic thing. Why isn't it cooling off. Do I need a coolant and where do I put it?

You should always be using diluted coolant (50/50) and not straight water. Youy need to have the system pressure tested to determine where the coolant is leaking out. Driving it hot can lead to further internal damage.
