distributor cap?

why do i get shocked when i touch my distributor cap on my 98 honda accord

Hello,

If the distributor cap is cracked it can shock you.
Remember that the ignition system is a high voltage component and caution should be practiced at all times during working on the ignition system.
Check the cap for any cracks or corrosions, replace if necessary.
