The car was in a fender bender, after repair the vehicle switches from 1st to 2nd gear with a thud and no high revving similar to transmission slipping. Seems like a motor or transmission mount, but there is a TDC with P1705- Automatic Transaxle. Would the transmission range switch cause this kind of problem. The car has been sitting for going on 4 years and really need to get it going. Thank You.

The range switch shouldn't cause a thud. I don't know how bad the accident was, but I have to agree with you. It sounds like a trans or motor mount. Check them for excessive play. Also, if they are tight, you should have the shift solenoids checked.
