My car sat for a couple months because I lost my chipped key I it worked great when I lost the key. When I got it going again, I noticed when I pump gas it just keeps clicking off like it's full every time I pump. also, seemed like my car was going through gas quicker, then all of a sudden my car shuts off while I was going through a stop light. finally after pushing it I started it now it won't start at all just cranks and I don't hear the pump at all when I turn the key to on position and I checked relay and it clicks so whag do i do.

EX model.

Hi,

If you hear the fuel pump relay actuate, we need to confirm if power is making it to the pump. In most cases, the pump has failed if that is the case.

Here is an easy thing to try. See if the engine starts if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is a fuel-related issue. If there is no change, we will need to check for an ignition spark to the spark plugs.

Here is a link that explains how that is done:

Try this and let me know the results. If the pump does need to be replaced, I would be happy to help you through the procedure.

Take care,

Joe
